On Thursday, October 26, 1933, these By-Laws were read to eleven women, and on October 31, 1933, were adopted by the original group who had each brought one new member with her, 29 in all being present. A nominating committee was appointed by Mrs. Machesney, consisting of Mrs. A. J. Moore, Mrs. Charles Cook, Mrs. L. T. Leacock, Mrs. Ralph E. Smith, and Mrs. A. L. Stopps. The first regular meeting of the Woman's Club of Baden was held Wednesday, November 15, 1933, at Mrs. Machesney's home. Thirty-one active and two associate members were present. The following officers were nominated and elected to serve for the first year:
At this meeting our meeting date was selected as the third Wednesday of each month at 2:00 P.M.; the Club Colors to be Yellow and White, and to have seven standing committees. A motion made by Mrs. Charles Hare and Mrs. Ralph E. Smith that the Woman's Club sponsor a Junior Woman's Club (as per request of the young women) after we are properly organized, was unanimously carried. Our Club was Federated with the State and County in April, 1934. We closed our first year with a membership of 35 active, five associate, and two honorary members - total 41. Our first meetings were held in the homes of the members and then moved to the Sunday School rooms of the Christ Lutheran Church, our present meeting place. The charter members of the Club are:
