Montana Family Education Savings Program
The Montana Family Education Savings Program is a section 529* program that has been designed to help families across America save for college. It provides the features you want most in a college savings plan:

Everyone Is Invited. The Montana Program is open to all families in the United States. And you can use the proceeds at any eligible college, university, proprietary or vocational school in America.

Tax Benefits. Earnings grow tax-free while you control the assets. When the time comes to use the funds for college, the earnings are taxed at the child's generally lower rate.

Guarantee. Contributions are invested in CollegeSure CDs, certificates of deposit indexed to college costs and guaranteed to meet future tuition, fees, room and board.

Safety. CollegeSure CDs are FDIC-insured -- backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government up to $100,000 per depositor.

Affordable. Start with direct deposits from your bank or brokerage of $100 or more monthly or payroll direct deposits of $50 or more per pay period. Or open your account by mailing a check for as little as $250.

Favorable Financial Aid Treatment. Parents can retain control of the assets to obtain favorable financial aid treatment.

There are also special state tax benefits for Montana residents.
